"Gekokujo" is the basic premise of Infinite Stratos. A man called Ichika Orimura that came from an alternate world to Japan to start a school, which later became the strongest military power in the whole country. And then he meets a girl named Charlotte Elbourne who can manipulate anything made of metal by just touching it. The story follows their daily lives as they keep being forced into battle with other countries' military forces, or with each other. The BluRay release was uncensored for this BluRay set. As for the DVD, however, there was a censorship. The manga adaptation of this series by Shirow Miwa was published in English by Yen Press in two volumes between May 2011 and June 2012. It follows the manga's title, with many of the original characters being replaced by characters from other series.The anime adaption is produced by BONES and directed by Takuya Igarashi at BONES studio. It aired in Japan between October 2012 and March 2013 on TV Tokyo, MBS, TBS, TV Aichi and BS-TBS. It is an adaptation of the first, second and third volumes of the manga series. The first episode ran for 14 minutes, the second for 25 minutes, the third for 25 minutes and sixty seconds, and the fourth for 13 minutes. A brief prologue was released in "Newtype" magazine on June 4, 2012. The full opening theme song is by Iori Nomizu who also sang the ending theme song . The ending theme song is by Yoko Hikasa who also sang an insert song. The anime first aired on October 10, 2012 until March 27, 2013 with Zettai Karen Children as its first simulcast partner before Funimation started streaming it on April 28. The anime has been licensed by Funimation Entertainment as of January 16, 2013. The series was released on Blu-ray Hi-definition in Japan on March 27, 2013. A DVD was also released.
